Wow. When we first arrived, we didn't know what to expect. The inside of the restaurant was super family friendly. It looked like the kind of place you might want to take the kids or your parents...until the food arrived. That made it exceptional. My sister had the crabcake Benedict and I had the fried walleye fish sandwich. I mean, EXCEPTIONAL. We are coming back, if for no other reason, this place is worth its weight in gold. Service was great, too. We loved it.

We have vacationed in the Vilas county area for quite a few years, and in 2008 we discovered DJ's. Each fall when we come up we make at least one trip to DJ's. Service is always great, and the food is fantastic! Great breakfast meals, and some of the best burgers and sandwiches in the northwoods! Looking forward to our next visit up north so we can stop in again!
Great little place to eat. Staff are great and friendly.
What a happy surprise. We went to one of our favorite breakfast places down the street to find it closed. Stopped here because it was close. Waited 20 minutes for a table. Service was awesome, they worked so hard to accommodate every table quickly and efficiently. They even made accommodations for a group of 20 that dropped in. Food was excellent, eggs cooked perfectly, and pancakes were fluffy and filling. Will definitely be back!!!
Always a great place. DJ made a point to offer coffee while we waited to be seated. Fast friendly service and portions are generous. A must stop if you’re in the area!! Back again and it never disappoints..
The vibes were relaxed even though the dining room was full. The food was amazing and well worth the wait. The hollandase on the Benedict was perfection! I had the stuffed 1/2 lb. Burger with gigadera and mushrooms, also done with love. DJ took our order and was attentive and hilarious! Thank you guys for a great experience!

His attention to detail is unmatched—offering drink refills without being asked and even making sure you have syrup when you’re taking pancakes to go. It’s those small touches that really make a difference. DJ is incredibly sweet and personable. He makes conversation with everyone, whether you're a local or just passing through. You’ll feel like a regular from your first visit. The food? Absolutely picture perfect. You’ll want to snap a photo before you even take a bite. And the setting is cozy and comfortable with enough room around you that gives it a private, relaxed feel. Can’t wait to come back!
My husband and I were very pleased with the good food and very friendly service. We definitely will be coming back again! If you have to wait for a table it’s more than worth it
